Hey

Congo African Grey ~ Female

~ 22 years old

Hey is a sweet and lovable escape artist. She can figure out how to break out of any enclosure, and loves to explore the sanctuary. She is extremely content to sit on your shoulder while you go about your day.

Hey is shy and takes a few days to warm up to new people, new surroundings, and even new toys in her enclosure. In that regard, she isn't as brave or as confident as her sister, You. But with some gentle nudging and training from the Mulberry Acres crew, she is becoming more courageous every day. She is even doing a bit of flying from room to room!

HEY'S STORY: Hey and her twin sister, You, came to us after their long-time owner could no longer keep them. It didn't take Hey very long to grow accustomed to the sanctuary, and now she loves getting attention from the entire staff. She is pretty much the perfect bird: intelligent, silly, and loves a good head scritch.

FAVORITE PASTIMES:  Giving kisses, dancing, making all sorts of beeping sounds, and saying "Hello!"

FAVORITE FOOD: Fruits and nuts

FAVORITE FLOCK MEMBER: You
